BIOGRAPHY

Jan-Hendrik studied biology, computer and information science at the University of Tübingen and Helsinki University of Technology. He obtained a doctor of the things of nature in theoretical biophysics from Humboldt University. His interests include the impact of changing environmental conditions on neuronal responses (neuronal reaction norms), the early evolution of nervous systems, neural coding and sexual selection. His methods range from the analysis of stochastic processes, to phase reductions and bifurcation theory.
