BIOGRAPHY

I am quite fascinated by non-linear dynamics within neuronal systems and also would like to integrate our understanding of biological neuronal systems into artificial neural networks. For my Ph.D., I focused specifically on decoding action selection via the interaction between Dopamine and Medium Spiny Neurons (MSN). Apart from the well established role of dopamine as a reward prediction error (RPE) signal for value‐based learning, it has also been implicated as a short‐term motivational signal. Under the framework of competitive model for action selection, I tried to decode the role of these motivational signals on MSN sub‐types.
